Parallax by Paul Williams
Genre: Middle Grade
Release Date: September 25, 2015

Danny Anderson lives in Sulphide, a copper mining
town in the outback of Australia. Taking refuge from a gang of bullies who tortures animals, he and his two friends Jennifer and Gustave discover a parallel universe through a cave. In this universe, bullies are eaten by the animals they torture, Animal Police arrest people for the crime of cannibalism (eating meat), and pain inflicted on others is felt by the perpetrators.

But far from being the Eden they first envision, it is a frightening world where justice is harsh. They escape into a series of worlds, but each parallel universe is worse than the previous one, until they discover a perfect utopia, where—it seems—everything they wanted the world to be is true: animal suffering is abolished, humans live in harmony with nature, and justice is done—but not all is as perfect as it appears.

Paul Williams was born in England, grew up in Africa, and now lives in Australia. His

award-winning books have been published worldwide. He currently teaches Creative Writing

at the University of the Sunshine Coast in Australia and enjoys contemplating the possibility

of parallel universes...

Morgan valiantly fights, protecting these last remnants of magic in a war he's not sure he can actually win.

Praise for Breakshield

"- Villain: Oh, he's mean, despicable and totally cruel...I wanna know more about him and I surely hope we'll get to know more about his background and plans of doom."

"It has well developed characters that you cant help but love and a vile protagonist that makes the book very hard to put down."
-Amazon Reviewer - Deirdre Page

I’m a New Englander.  I was born and raised in a small town in southern Connecticut, and though work and life have led me elsewhere, I remain a New Englander at heart.

I attended Connecticut College from 1991-1995 and graduated with dual bachelor’s degrees in anthropology and environmental science…and dreams of digging up ancient artifacts in the deserts of the southwestern US.   Unfortunately, I married a military officer.  That meant a lot of moving about, and the few jobs that areavailable in the anthropology/archaeology arena want you to stay put for years on end.

So, take two: back to school, this time to the University of Rhode Island, where I completed an MBA program in 1999.   Not exactly the most exciting field of study but boy did it open doors for me and today I am gainfully (and happily) employed by the US Coast Guard developing and maintaining IT systems that support all facets of their operations.

So, where am I now?  West Virginia!  I can honestly say that I never thought I’d be living in West Virginia (much less working in the IT industry) but here I am, and loving it.  No matter what you’ve seen or heard, West Virginia is a beautiful place to live.  And so, here we are - me, the husband, and three cats that basically run the show.  Life is good, and as long as I keep writing, it will keep getting better.

Only fifty years left before vampires rule the world.

When Dallas police detective Cami Davis joined the city's vampire unit, she planned to use the job as a stepping-stone to a better position in the department.

But she didn't know then what she knows now: there's a silent war raging between humans and vampires, and the vampires are winning.

So with the help of a disaffected vampire and an ex-cop addict, Cami is going undercover, determined to solve a series of recent murders, discover a way to overthrow the local Sanguinary government, and, in the process, help win the war for the human race.

But can she maintain her own humanity in the process? Or will Cami find herself, along with the rest of the world, pulled under a darkness she cannot oppose?

Blog Tour Sign Ups are Open for Marta Salek's upcoming NA Fantasy Read. This will be a 2 Week Blog Tour running from September 11-25

Title: Reticulum
Author: Marta Salek
Genre: NA Fantasy
Release Date: September 2014

Matthew's life has one focus: magic. Pleasure, for him, is achieving the unachievable, learning that which has never been understood before. The Reticulum is a dream come true—a magic that promises him everything. With it whispering in his mind, what other companion does he need?

Andrea is determined to take on the world and her talent is such that she might just succeed. But an apprenticeship with an unscrupulous wizard shatters her self-confidence, leaving her friendless and alone.

When the two meet, they learn that isolation is not inevitable, after all. That being able to break the laws of the universe means little if there's no one to break them for. That when you allow yourself to need, and trust, and love, you can take on anything.

Marta lives out in the hills of Australia with her partner and assorted fluffy roosters, chickens, sheep, alpacas and one dog (who may or may not have fleas). When not working or writing, she passes the time trying to grow vegetables and running over irrigation pipe with her ride-on mower. In a past life, she spent her days programming (or screaming at) computers and writing lengthy emails which were reported to give her managers headaches. Now, she’s more gainfully occupied as a nurse, which legitimately allows her to amuse herself by asking people about their bowel habits.
